Match Report:

Round 19 saw the boys come up against Nepean, an interesting match-up considering we had beaten them in Round One, but they were sitting considerably higher on the table.
The boys were looking to do something they had not yet done this season, win back-to-back.
The first half was played in the middle third with the chances for both teams few and far between.
Magic’s first notable opportunity was Cam’s blistering shot from distance which forced a good save from the Nepean keeper.
As the first half wore on, the Nepean midfield started to establish some control but Nick was having a blinder and nullified a number of attacks with his fantastic anticipation.
A dour first half lit up in the final few minutes.  Pedro was put through in the 29th minute but it was well intercepted by the Nepean Keeper, and right on the stroke of half time Nepean had a shot from distance which sailed over the bar.
The halftime break saw the game evenly poised at 0-0.

The boys came out in the second half with extra energy – the half time talk clearly having an impact.
Magic won a free kick early in the second half which put Chris into space but his extra touch allowed the Nepean keeper to take possession.
The 16th minute of the second half saw Nepean striking their first shot on goal, well saved by the ever-reliable Lucas.
In the 20th minute Maks found space in  behind the Nepean defence only to take it over the dead ball line with a heavy touch – a slight push in the back didn’t help but not enough contact for a penalty.
The 22nd minute saw the Magic take the lead.  Chris’ pressure on the Nepean keeper resulted in a clearance to a Nepean defender who was caught in possession by Maks and he was able to put the chance away.
A few minutes later Magic had the game sealed.  Maks looked caught in possession by a number of Nepean defenders on the edge of the box but was able to spin away and cut it back to Pedro who’s shot was parried into the path of Chris who put the ball into the back of an empty net.

That’s the way the game finished – a huge win for the boys against a solid team.
A well-deserved win followed by a well deserved pizza.
